I started shooting building in my postcode that I liked the look off, or I thought would make a good shot. Nearby to my house about a 3 min drive, a new youth centre has been built in a park to encourage social interaction for young kids. I've yet to get inside but I am hoping that shooting the exterior I would be able to get inside and shoot some interior architecture. I used this opportunity to shoot something that I wanted to shoot too, so as well as day shots, I went for the twilights too. I checked on my sun tracker app, and it knew when the perfect time would be to get gorgeous light caressing the side of the building. I started to see beautiful light hit the building with some interesting shadows cutting across to give some interesting lines. I was excited, to say the least, but the exterior light and the ambient light didn't balance so I waited patiently. the light was getting better and better, colour in the sky was getting saturated and a few clouds in the sky just made everything perfect, couldn't Photoshop a better scene. This is anticipation quickly came to a halt, the sun was now blocked by a building opposite and the light on the building now...had gone. by the time the perfect time to shoot the sun was low enough that the buildings across the road had blocked any of the light the was so desperately in awe of. You can see some of the days shot below.
This 1700 sq.m, £6million investment into a youth zone for all ages up to 19. At just £5 annual membership and 50p per visit you can get up to 20 activities per night! That is incredible value. Its looks just as incredible from the exterior.
